I recently took a great DSLR workshop. The instructor has a blog where she makes a picture every day. I will humbly try to emulate her.

Paula, had no idea. We got off the bikes and heard voices up the hill and saw bikes parked at the bottom. Bill’s intuition led us there.

The pictures are great! Alittle slice of history, we have a grand country. When this is finished you’ll have to make a travel log for all to view. How can that be, bicycle trip gain weight???? Blessings, Paula

Hi Paula and Bill — We are loving your blog and I read it every day, always anticipating the song of the day as well as your sense of humor as you encounter Americana. We envy those great mid-morning breakfasts and the chocolate malts, though we’re suspecting these could form a habit that will be tough to break on the other side of this unforgettable journey. Safe pedaling to you both! — Carol and Larry

Carol, we are moving along now that the heat has eased up, putting us in better spirits. We will both need a dairy detox when we get home! And some way to replace this level of activity.

Hi Keith, we will keep a close eye on Irene but should be far enough west to miss any trouble.

I am loving your trip and very jelous. My parents ( Dave and Linda Anderson ) live in Denver and told me about your adventure….knowing that is my kind of thing. My question for you is about your bikes…they look like road bikes, but what kind of tires do you have? I question because you talk about trails often.
Good Luck and enjoying your trip very much.

Hi Meagan, how nice of you to get on board with us. We have Fuji touring bikes, and the tires are a medium width with Kevlar linings to prevent punctures. Do you ride much? Where?
