Wow! I just now had a chance to catch up with you…so exciting and what beautiful pics! Love your hair, Paula…you look like my former neighbor! Leroy and I wish you well as you make your way and will check the blog regularly. Love to you both!
Kudos to you two!!! My heros and it’s one for the mature generation,,,We’ve been baking in the triple digits for days here in NC. We hope that has all passed you in your journey and you’ll have cool peddling for the remainder of your adventure. Enjoy the pictures and the blog. Gods Speed, P & D
Sounds like the whole country is baking. At least while we pedal there is always a cooling breeze. And then it’s right into an air-conditioned motel room!
I’m glad I checked in today. I didn’t know I could leave a comment for you guys. I’m glad to see Pueblo didn’t stop you. 🙂 It looks like you are having a great time and meeting tons of other bikers. Wishing you guys great weather and safe travel. See you when you return.
Keith, the Meridian Road marathon almost killed us on the way to Pueblo, but once we got to the hotel we were fine. Keep checking in on our wild adventures!
Such numbers of hits, 2753 or thereabouts. No surprise, as your prose, pictures and music keep us all entertained, back here in the world of tv and the budget. Hall and Andrea
There must be lots of people reading this thing, or maybe it is just us compulsively checking for comments 🙂 We haven’t used the dime yet since we are both too worn out to disagree. So glad to avoid the news! Life is different out here in farm country where only the weather is important.
And…I thought that I was just compulsive, checking in a couple times a day to see where you are, read your wonderful posts, and check out the pictures. Glad to hear that the Show-me state is trail friendly!
Wow…just getting caught up with the two of you since you left last Wed! What a great time we had! Sure missed you! How did you like Bun’s restaurant? It’s a sentimental favorite…my girls and I used to meet their grandmother there (the half way point) when they spent time with her in Cleveland. You also probably passed by an old friend’s farm in Warsaw. She runs the Tansy Tea Room there! Anyway, it sure seems like you are making great progress! I’ll keep my fingers crossed that the hurricanes and such don’t hold you back! Hope to see you in Va! Be safe! Love, Diane
Diane, we have been steadily pedaling. Expect to be in Cumberland MD on Sunday, maybe DC by the next Sunday. Bun’s was the best! Not as good as the SBA dinner of course…love you too, will let you know when we get closer.

Is Kansas your longest state? Cause looks like you’re more than 1/2 way through!! I really love following along on the map.

Brian, I hope it is the longest because it’s starting to get tedious. Looking forward to getting off the roads and onto the Katy Trail in Missouri.

Have you seen Dorothy and Todo anywhere on your route? They should be in sight anyday now. Keep peddling, Paula & Doug
